I've had to repeat this mission many times imply because Justiciar Hablion and the rest of the white mantle just sit back and relax at a certain point while I'm fighting for my life against countless undead. Then the quest pings my map...what for? And I think Hablion runs away or something, because after I enter a certain area, he no longer appears anywhere on my map. Is the mission supposed to run like this? I can't see the logic in giving you a compay of white mantle to help if they refuse to advance with you in the mission

Yeah, they just stop halfway there. You have to kill the big guy on your own, sorry :-/

You can lure the enemies to your white mantle companions and get them to help. It's tough if your tanks aren't running away with you, but you can either a)run far enough, they will start to follow, or b)let your tanks die, then run. Your casters should follow you pretty easily and the monsters will chase you until they get to the white mantle, then they go down pretty easily.

This is all assuming you're using henchman. If you're playing with other players, then you can all lure them to the white mantle pretty easily with a little teamwork.
